Remember Me

A must see. I don't agree with Bush and his 'team', but our men and women are over there and until they are allowed to come home they deserve our support, and our appreciation for what they have done and sacrificed at the behest of the people WE put in office.

Tube slides in London museum

Artist Carsten Höller does not do small things, and the slides you will see on this page are one such example. To date Höller has installed six smaller slides in other galleries and museums, but the cavernous space of the Turbine Hall in the Tate Modern Museum on the River Thames in London offers a unique setting in which to extend his vision.

PHOTOGRAPHY: Slow Sync Flash

Slow Sync Flash is a function found on many cameras that tells your camera to shoot with both a longer shutter speed as well as firing the flash. This means you get the best of both worlds above and can both get a relatively sharp shot of your main subject as well as get some ambient light from the background and foreground.

Cool, I can use this tip. I'll have to experiment with this sometime.

Shocking ad drives home the dangers of speeding

The Faster the Speed, the Bigger the Mess

WARNING! - This video is GRAPHIC! It's not real, but it represents what could really happen if you speed in Ireland when driving. It was developed by an ad agency (Lyle Bailie International Limited, www.lylebailie.com) in Ireland calling themselves "Specialists in attitude and behaviour change". Well I think this ad supports that label.

Do not click on "read more" unless you are prepared to see something shocking, you've been warned (and NO, I'm not joking around!)

Police, school get failing grade in sad case of Julie Amaro

Imagine you know next to nothing about computers. You're a substitute teacher for a seventh grade class. There's a computer in the classroom and, knowing you're going to be sitting there for a while, you ask a fulltime teacher if you can use it. He logs you in with his password and tells you not to shut it off because you couldn't get back on.

They keep delaying this judgement, and I'm wondering if it's to aid in correcting the misjudgment here, or in hopes that the public's attention will waver and they can get on with their miscarriage of justice?
